To: Whom it may concern

I am very interested in the position of Safety Manager. I have a great understanding of every phase of construction as well as personnel management. I have been in construction management since the mid seventies.  I have implemented the EHS Program for 2 International Companies, and instituted the training and tracking of EHS training for 350 employees.  This program was reviewed by New York State’s OSHA and M&W Construction International Conglomerate, and received the highest mark for quality and professionalism.

Throughout my career I have continued to develop my leadership, planning, and managerial skills. This is a partial list of the skills and accomplishments I have provided my employers over the years;

¨       ICC certified building inspector qualifications. I can be licensed in any state in the US as a commercial and residential building inspector. As an ICC member I am able to draw on the ICC for interpretation and guidance for any phase of code compliance.

¨       Developed and instituted a construction document archiving and tracking program that has saved not only tens of thousands of dollars but large storage facilities.

¨       Project Management of over 350 employees at the Malta, NY Global Foundries Fab. 8 for 14 months.

¨       Wrote the entire safety program for the AMHS installation at Global Foundries “Big Build”. Including the LOTO and OSHA training program for over 350 employees

¨       Produced construction documents from the conceptual thumbnail drawings to the specifications as well as project management, in Residential and Commercial projects throughout the continental US and Alaska.

¨       Worked very closely with many municipalities in the rehabilitation of blighted areas in Central California and Utah that the state had targeted, and was the preferred design and energy analyst and construction documentation processor for Stanislaus County, California.

¨       Continued and will still continue to widen my skills and my certifications. I am a licensed General Contractor. I have passed the contractor exams in Colorado, Tennessee as well as my home state Utah.

I would like to have the opportunity to meet with you and show you the qualities that I can provide your company.

Sincerely,

Martin Nielsen,

ICC Cert, Licensed GC.
